'Thank you for all the brilliant work you are doing keeping this network together'
Kate Shaw, Food for Life Partnership, East Midlands Coordinator
Thanks for the latest MELA newsletter - some useful info and links. It lead me to watch your recommendation of the Chimamanda Adichie: The danger of a single story TED talk - great link! Thanks for that. Came across it at just the right time as we ran a course yesterday about bringing global issues into the classroom through literacy - we used part of the film and it was really well received by the teachers. Thanks!

This headline from the 2011 MELA Festival of Learning may be a bit of stretch, but there is no doubt that everyone involved enjoyed a inspiring, creative and fun day.
With 11 creative workshops and engaging opening and closing plenaries the day was full and productive. We will be publishing more from the Festival across the website but share below a wordle of the 3 words that participants used to describe their day and some initial feedback from those who came.
If you missed out this year then don't worry, we will be doing it all again on 19 June 2012. To register for a place and be notified as soon as details are released contact us here and state Festival 2012.
