Severn Trent Water - support for learning

We visit you!

Why not contact us to book a FREE outreach session run by a member of our Education team? (contact details here)

Our outreach programme includes talks, group activities and workshops, school assemblies and attendance at community events within our region. All we ask in return for the session is that you use water wisely and help us look after your waste water.

Schools and colleges

We’re urged to be efficient in all walks of life: use less fuel, use less energy, recycle waste – but what about ‘use less water?’ Many people are unaware that we really do need to think about this as well. School is the perfect place to start teaching our future generation about how to look after our water supply.

Schools Outreach sessions include whole school assemblies, class talks and activities, DVDs, Water Audits, workshops and specific group work with school and eco-councils. Our minimum requirement is that you allow us to deliver a whole school assembly and run a water saving action planning session. Our visits could help your school work towards Eco-School status.

“Interesting and exciting for the children. A good mix of practical activity and delivery of information. The children loved it and learnt a lot!”

St Catherine of Sienna Primary School

University, Community groups and wider audiences

We are happy to visit your group and provide a talk or presentation, with or without activities, timed to suit your group. We can help people to identify a variety of changes they can realistically make that suit their lifestyle and positively impact on the environment.

“Thank you for the excellent talk you gave last night. Your talk inspired old dogs to learn new tricks and gave us all a better understanding of a process that we have all rather taken for granted. Thank you again.”
