Conference: How fair is Britain?

How Fair Is Britain?” This is the question posed by the Equality and Human Rights Commission in its 700-page anatomy of disadvantage in the 21st century published in 2010. In the context of the new Equality Act 2010, and also the Governments proposals around the “Big Society” and the future for public services in particular , this conference couldn’t be more timely. The aim of this conference is to engage with these issues by drawing together academics and professionals/practitioners to look at challenges, and outlining solutions, to make Britain fairer, based on how far we have come over the past 12 years.
